Alocasia "Silver Dragon" – Majestic and Striking

This bold and unique plant is known for its stunning, silver-green, arrow-shaped leaves with deep veins. The Alocasia "Silver Dragon" will stay small and compact, compared to other varieties!

Soil- Alocasias are happiest in a chunky, aerated and well draining soil. Or try growing these gorgeous plants in a semi hydroponic substrate such as Pon or Leca!

Watering- Although your Alocasia prefers a chunky and well draining soil, it never wants to dry out entirely! A good indicator that your Alocasia is ready for it's next drink is when the top few centimetres of soil are dry. You can check this by poking your finger in the soil or using a moisture metre!

Light- Your Alocasia will look it's best in bright, indirect light. Avoid harsh, direct sunlight as his will burn their leaves, and not enough light will result in leggy growth. Be sure to rotate your plant every week or so to ensure even foliage growth!

Humidity- This tropical plant loves high humidity! Keep it away from heaters and air conditioners as these dry out the air. Bathrooms are a great spot for consistent humidity, or place a humidifier nearby

Temperature- In order for year round leafy foliage, this tropical plant prefers temperatures above 12 degrees (celsius). Dropping below this temperature will put your Alocasia into dormancy

Fertiliser- All Alocasias tend to be very hungry! Calcium rich fertilisers are the best choice for Alocasias and can be given in the warmer seasons of Spring and Summer!
